Who are we? “We are a Christian community that loves God and our neighbor, where everyone is welcome at Christ’s table. God accepts you just as you are and so do we.”
We are Community ~ serving those in our area with a place to worship, a place to meet, a place where anyone is welcome. When the multi-use building was in its “planning stage”, many wondered how it would be used. Not only does ACC use it for our members to fellowship and study the word of God, but many groups in the community use this building on a regular basis; the Boy Scouts, the Girl Scouts, the Azle Ambassadors, and many others. You can drive by the church on any given day at any given moment and chances are this building is being used. And it is appropriately named.
We are Mission ~ serving our neighbor, the neighbor who receives their food from the Inasmuch pantry, whom we proudly support. Serving our neighbors, for the past six years, who live in Los Fresnos, Texas and Matamoras, Mexico through the Southwestern Good Samaritan Ministries. In July, our youth went to Louisville, Kentucky and experienced what it would be like if they had almost nothing. They worked in the community and in the daycares, they helped the children, they helped the adults, and their lives have been changed forever. In September, when Hurricanes Gustav and Ike came ashore, we cared for our neighbors from the gulf coast region by serving countless hours in the Red Cross shelter, giving over $750 to Week of Compassion, donating items that were needed and showing love to our neighbor who had to leave home in the midst of a storm, to the neighbor who suffered loss. In 2008, the Drive for Compassion golf tournament celebrated ten years of raising funds to support charitable organizations in and outside our community. ACC distributes 100% of the money raised from this event.
God calls us to serve, and when you hear that call, you respond by accepting the challenge and making a commitment to do whatever you can. As Jesus would say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant”
It’s time for our annual Stewardship Campaign and we ask you to prayerfully consider the needs of your church. Enclosed in this letter is a pledge card and time and talent form. The time, talent and money you pledge will support the important missions and ministries of Azle Christian Church, as well as its day-to-day needs. We invite you to join us on November 2 for Commitment Sunday and place your pledge in the offering tray, or you can mail it to the church office in the enclosed envelope. Your support of Azle Christian Church is a vital part of advancing the work and word of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
God calls us to generous giving, cheerful giving, giving that flows abundantly and richly out of one’s heart and soul. We thank you for the generosity of your giving.
Respectfully,
April Hightower

"It is possible to Give away and become Richer! It's also possible to hold on too tightly and lose everything. Generous people shall be rich. By watering others they water themselves."
