13th Annual Drive for Compassion Golf Classic 2011
Are you looking for a way to help a variety of charities in the Azle, Springtown area through one fundraising event? The 13th Annual Drive for Compassion Golf Classic will be held at Cross Timbers Golf Course on Saturday, October 1, 2011, with an 8:00 a.m. shot-gun start.

Proceeds from the Drive for Compassion Golf Classic will be distributed to the following charities: BackPacks for Kids, Swan View Therapeutic Horseback Riding Center, Castle Hills Mission House, Springtown Neighbor to Neighbors, Eagle Mountain Food Pantry, Azle Habitat for Humanity, Liberty Lighthouse, Robert Landers Youth Golf, and Week of Compassion Disaster Relief. A description of each charity is enclosed for your information. Since the beginning of this fundraiser, over $218,000 has been raised for charities.

Our mission is to provide a helping hand to those in need. To accomplish this mission, we need your help. We invite you to join us as a sponsor and have your logo on 2,000 brochures distributed to golfers, businesses and other supporters. Your logo will also be featured on 400 t-shirts that will be given to golfers and volunteers.

Our goal for this event is to have another first class golf tournament that includes breakfast before the tournament and a catered lunch after the tournament for the participants and volunteers. Each golfer receives a goody bag filled with donations from companies and individuals. We also give away door prizes to all the golfers. Prizes are given for first and second place in each of three separate flights.

Over the past ten years, the golfers who have participated in the tournament live in Azle, Springtown, Weatherford, Boyd and throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We even have golfers who return from out of state to be a part of helping the charities that benefit from this tournament.
